Forty Hall Estate are supporting the Get Kids Out Learning (GKOL) campaign this summer. Kids love being outdoors, visiting new places and being inspired by the world around them. Get Kids Out Learning helps families find the best local educational attractions.

Forty Hall is a great place to explore this summer and we've listed just a few of the highlights as part of the GKOL programme:

Learn about the Estate

We welcome a wide variety of signs and information boards in to the estate this summer which will help children (and adults) learn about the history of the park and discover local wildlife. Whether it's finding out about Henry VIII’s Palace of Elsyng that once lay within the estate, learning about the great crested newt (the UK's largest newt, no less) or spotting kingfishers you are guaranteed an educational day out that is heaps of fun!

Play!

Take a break from learning to ride the zip wire in the Woodland Children's Play Area!

Come to an Event!

There are HEAPS of events taking place across the summer which will help your children learn. Meet archaeologists and find out what they have discovered about Elsyng Palace this year as part of our annual Archaeological Dig on Love Forty Hall Park Day. Learn about the butterflies that can be found in the estate at our Bug Club. Get snapping at one of our photography sessions and learn about how to take the very best pictures in and around the estate. For plenty more events visit our What's On section of the site to explore further.

Don't forget to step inside the Hall!

The Hall will be open throughout the school holidays (with the exception of Mondays). Entry to the Hall is free so step inside to discover a wealth of learning opportunities including exhibitions, surprising historical spaces, hidden chests, trails and dressing up activities.

Meet some new (furry) friends!

Forty Hall Farm is a mixed farm with a variety of animals, including many rare breeds. Pop along to see the animals on Wednesdays and weekends. Mums/Dads/Grandparents - be sure to swing by the Forty Hall Farm Shop to pick up some locally grown produce.

We look forward to welcoming you this summer!
