Forty Hall is a Grade 1 Listed Jacobean Manor House, nestled in leafy Enfield and set amidst an idyllic landscape with beautiful gardens, historic parkland, medieval water gardens and a meandering river. Discover its history and about the life of its original owner Sir Nicholas Rainton and the last family who lived here, the Parker-Bowles.

Step into the Hall to admire the fine architecture and stunning period rooms. Enjoy learning about the history of Forty Hall Estate through the ages and about the life of its original owner Sir Nicholas Rainton. The permanent exhibition offers a range of visual and audio interpretation and displays so there are ample ways for all of the family to engage with learning about the Hall in an enjoyable way.

The 273 acre Grade II listed estate is a rare example of an intact 18th Century Landscape, with an ornamental lake, medieval fishing ponds and streams, a walled garden, pleasure grounds, Georgian and Victorian flora and fauna, lakes, lawns, and meadows.

Set in its own estate with stunning public gardens, lawns, walled garden and lakes, we offer an idyllic backdrop for those all-important photos and memories. With stunning scenery and a selection of period rooms to choose from, couples will be spoilt for choice.

An impressive place to do business or private events, the Hall has a number of rooms available to hire for conferences, seminars, workshops, anniversaries or memorial services.
