Forty Hall is a Grade 1 Listed Jacobean Manor House, nestled in leafy Enfield and set amidst an idyllic landscape with beautiful gardens, historic parkland, medieval water gardens and a meandering river. Discover its history and about the life of its original owner Sir Nicholas Rainton and the last family who lived here, the Parker-Bowles.

Enjoy learning about the history of Forty Hall Estate through the ages and about the life of its original owner Sir Nicholas Rainton. The permanent exhibition offers a range of visual and audio interpretation and displays so there are ample ways for all of the family to engage with learning about the Hall in an enjoyable way.
The 273 acre Grade II listed estate is a rare example of an intact 18th Century Landscape, with an ornamental lake, medieval fishing ponds and streams, a walled garden, pleasure grounds, Georgian and Victorian flora and fauna, lakes, lawns, and meadows.

Forty Hall Farm is an organic farm nestled in the Forty Hall estate. The farm is run by Capel Manor College, the only further education college in London that specialises in learning about the environment.
