We are recruiting Heritage Officer!
Heritage Education Project (ENLab) Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Heritage Officer to play a key role in delivering the Heritage Education Project (ENLab), led by Forty Hall and the Museum of Enfield.
ENLab will champion Enfield’s built, industrial, and natural heritage, ensuring it is accessible, valued, relevant, and sustainable. Working in partnership with the Museum of Enfield, Forty Hall Estate, RSA Trust, Enfield Archaeological Society, Enfield Society, and Whitewebbs Transport Museum, the project will deliver inspiring heritage education programmes for primary schools, establish Heritage Clubs, and culminate in a celebratory Heritage Festival for families.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Enfield Council’s small, dedicated Culture Team and contribute to a project that will make a meaningful and lasting impact across the borough.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone with:
· A strong track record of delivering engaging heritage activities and school sessions within a museum or heritage setting
· Experience working with primary-aged children
· The confidence to deliver creative, inclusive, and inspiring learning experiences
You will help bring local heritage stories to life, supporting schools and communities to connect with Enfield’s rich and diverse past.
Role Details:
This is a casual post expected to run until June 2027. Hours will vary each week but will not exceed 22 hours. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
