As Forty Hall prepares for tomorrow's Spring Craft Marketwe are profiling another of the stallholders who will be there on the day.

Daphne Turnbull of Seawitch Designs makes a variety of hand-made crochet and knitted accessories and toys and uses wire as well as yarn to create them. Often the inspiration behind the work are sea anemones or the colours at the seaside – hence the business name of “Seawitch”.

Seawitch Designs create a vast range of accessories such as neckwarmers, scarves and brooches plus homewares such as mugs and cafetiere cosies, pictures, crochet garlands, bookmarks, key rings, wine glass charms and fun sea creatures (for toys or just mascots!). This year Seawitch Design is introducing kits (including the Bertie the Bear phone case) for people to have a go at crocheting their own items for beginner and intermediate level.

Hooks And Yarn Will Be Available At The Event Tomorrow For People To ‘Have A Go’ On The Day - So Come And Unleash Your Creativity!

Daphne says of the craft fair: “Forty Hall is one of my favourite places in Enfield – I love walking in the grounds when I need to relax or just to do some exercise; my daughter enjoys snooping in the all the ponds and brooks to see what wildlife there is. I enjoy the craft fairs here, this will be my third time, because I get a chance to meet up with friends running the other stalls and talk to customers about my work.”
