Today I tasted something from the Forty Hall Kitchen which has not been tasted for over 300 years. The name of this dish was Grand Salad.

The dish looked like … a mountain/a forest of food/a mountain of fruit/a big colourful mountain/a jumbly forest/a huge mountain.

It was very… nice/summery/tasty/delicious/good/smooth/yummy, and the texture was… cold/crunch & smooth/nice/really soft/smooth/leafy.

I thought it would taste… disgusting/nice, but after I tasted it it reminded me of… summer/the old dog/fruit salad/crunchy nut/my mum’s cooking/squished lemon.

I was surprised that… I didn’t vomit/it was so disgusting/it tasted delicious/it taste so good/it had lots of fruit/it was yummy.

I liked that… it had egg/it was presented nicely/it was juicy/it was nice & we took a lot of care/it had big raisins/it was really pretty.

Compared to my favourite modern dish it was… better than crisps & was healthier/not the best/7/10, cause my favourite meal is steak.

I think the reason it is not eaten widely today is… because its made of valuable stuff/most of the food was raw/because maybe the govement stopt it/because it would make people too full/that it is not normal.

I would like to make this again for my friends or family because… its different to my cooking/it tastes very nice and like fruit salad my nana makes.

I would not liketo make this again for my friends or family because… they mite not like it/I don’t think they would like it/it wasn’t yummy.

Thanks to Keren, Louise, Cameron, Benjamin H and Leyla.
