The Enfield community will come together on Sunday (7 June) at Forty Hall Estate to celebrate the newly restored historic parkland, a project funded by Enfield Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The Forty Hall Big Sunday, an event delivered by Forty Hall Farm, Friends of Forty Hall Park and Enfield Council Cultural Services, will offer a jam-packed programme of activities showcasing everything on offer across the whole estate. Including; live music at Forty Hall Farm, Craft Market in the Hall and sports in the grounds to name but a few of the things on offer.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Organisations and Culture, Cllr Yasemin Brett, said: “This is a brilliant event in a great setting that offer something fantastic for the whole family so get yourself down to Forty Hall and join in the fun.

“Forty Hall is a great asset for the council and this is just one example of the fabulous types of events that are hosted there.”

Kate McGeevor, Forty Hall Farm Manager said: "This is the fourth Big Lunch we have held on the Forty Hall Estate and, as always, we're really looking forward to it.

"For us on the Farm, it's particularly exciting because this year the Big Lunch also falls on Open Farm Sunday, when we open our farm gates and welcome visitors to see Forty Hall Farm in action. We're encouraging people to join us for a day of picnicking, music and merriment!'

Jo Ann Brown, Friends of Forty Hall Park said: “The Friends of Forty Hall Park are delighted to be part of this event, which celebrates the park that so many people love.

"We encourage visitors to come along to take part in the activities, to explore everything on offer in the estate and to admire the park and planting “.

The event is delivered as part of The Big Lunch; the one-day get-together for neighbours so visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds; in a simple act of community, friendship and fun! The Forty Hall Big Sunday is also delivered as part of Open Farm Sunday, a national initiative to open up farms across the UK and celebrates the recent public opening of Forty Hall Farm and the Farm Shop.
