Minecrafting Project - Wilbury School
Wilbury School and Forty Hall and Estate’s Minecrafting Project was an extremely exciting and successful computing project. The aim of the project was to pass on a blend of the Computing Co-ordinator’s knowledge at the School of gaming and the class teacher’s knowledge of local history to Year 5 pupils.
Forty Hall & Estate was the subject of the Minecraft (a virtual and historically accurate building and landscape) and the pupils loved developing and sharing their knowledge with each other of how to research and build the Virtual Forty Hall & Estate. Pupils worked in teams throughout one term after an initial trip to Forty Hall to gather data and more historical knowledge. Here in this clip you can get a glimpse of how pupils worked together to build their virtual world!
