Food Bloggers Sessions, Firs Farm School, Sack Posset
Today I tasted something from the Forty Hall Kitchen which has not been tasted for over 300 years. The name of this dish was Sack Posset.
The dish looked like… a tree with food on the ground and cherries for apples/custard/soup/a pool of fish/porridge/a palm tree/melted salad.
It was very… cold/delicious/ok/nice and delicious/disgusting …and the texture was…smooth/soft/rough/bad
I thought it would taste… disgusting / warm/sour/horrible/alright/hard and chewy/great and sugary/strong/yucky ..But after I tasted it, it reminded me of… the egg I eat for my breakfast/porridge/poo/hot baths and sweet potatoes/custard/sweet soup
I was surprised that… it was cold/it was nice/it tasted sweet and delicious/I hated it/the presentation came out really good
I liked that… the egg was nice and soft/I enjoyed it/the custard was lovely/ I could taste loads of flavours
Compared to my favourite modern dish it was… my second favourite dish/ more better to my modern favourite dish/horrible it was 0 out of 10
I think the reason it is not eaten widely today is… the ingredients are hard to find and expensive/it’s old/people forgot about it/because its rubbish/it was made a long time ago
I would like to make this again for my friends or family because… It’s really nice/they liked it and I did to
I would not like to make this again for my friends or family because… it was too hard to make/my friends wouldn’t like it/my family won’t like it.
