Workshops to keep the kids & teens happy!
This summer, Forty Hall are running tons of workshops to keep the kids amused during the school holidays.
All workshops are just £5 if booked in advance, or £7 on the door (subject to availability).
For the teenagers (Age 11 – 18):
Snap That! 1.30pm - 3pm
Discover how photography developed from stiff formality to today’s Instagram world! Pick up tricks and tips to get the most out of your camera phone or digital camera and try out new ideas. BOOK HERE
More Magnificent Modroc Marble Mazes 1.30pm - 3pm
Enjoy investigating the patterns and shapes of Forty Hall’s ceilings before taking your ideas away to form your very own crazy pattern, which will form a Modroc Marble Maze. BOOK HERE

Perfect Portraits! Tuesday 24 July, 11am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3pm
Explore our collection of paintings on a fun trail, then dress up and pose for your own historic style portrait. BOOK HERE
Photography Fun and Trickery! 11am-12.30pm
Explore the weird and sometimes wacky world of Victorian photography and camera trickery, then discover photographs of bygone days at Forty Hall. Pick up tricks and tips to get the most out of your camera phone or digital camera and try out new ideas. BOOK HERE
The Tudors: Jolly Jousting and Heraldry 11am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3pm
Find out about a sport King Henry VIII loved that nearly killed him – jousting. Learn about jousting heraldry and make a visor and shield featuring your own design. Then climb onto one of our hobby horses and challenge a fellow knight to a joust with our (safe!) lances! BOOK HERE
Tudor Treasures from Elsyng Palace 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3pm
See real Tudor finds from previous archaeological digs of the site, meet a real archaeologist from Enfield Archaeology Society and handle artefacts! Finally, take inspiration from what you’ve seen to make your own replica Tudor treasures from clay! BOOK HERE
Farmyard Fun 11am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3pm
Follow a fun trail around Forty Hall Farm! Then come into the Hall to make a fluffy pom-pom farmyard friend to take home. BOOK HERE
Combining Art & Nature 11am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3pm
Get outdoors and explore natural art through a series of mini challenges. Then bring your preparation back inside and work with natural materials to produce your own masterpiece! BOOK HERE

Find out what might be found in a Cabinet of Curiosities in the past by taking part in a fun treasure hunt. Then make a mini cabinet to house your own collection of treasures! BOOK HERE

Bug Club: Bulbs for Bees! 12pm - 1.30pm and 2pm - 3.30pm
