It was a beautiful evening for our Forty Hall and Enfield Museum Service’s open event for Enfield Teachers yesterday. Teachers heard about and saw in action some of the hands-on activities and education sessions they can bring their pupils to at Forty Hall and from September, also The Dugdale Centre.

Local historian Joe Studman gave a fascinating and surprising introduction to the history of Enfield from the Ice Age to the 1960s and Enfield Society Member Monica Smith spoke about her wonderful book for school children and families, ‘The Young Explorers’ Guide To Enfield’.

Would like to thank everyone for coming and for so being so enthusiastic about how we can work together to provide children with memorable and enjoyable ways to access their borough’s unique history and heritage.

We wish Enfield Teachers a good end to the term and well-deserved summer break and look forward to seeing them again with their classes in the next school year.
