A polite notice for visitors to the park

Please note that from Thursday 24th until Saturday 26th November Thames21 will be on site in the estate to restore the island in the pond at the front.

Thames21 will be clearing the island of existing vegetation, laying a liner to prevent trees from growing there in the future (this causes maintenance issues), and building up the levels of the island to prevent it from becoming submerged again. In spring the island will be planted with native marginal plants chosen to attract pollinators and other insects.
