Forty Hall's October Drawing Challenge

October is the month of The Big Draw festival, a worldwide celebration of drawing!

So we are challenging our followers to have a go at drawing too, with a Forty Hall theme, and we will display the entries on an online gallery on the Forty Hall website.

At the end of October we will put all entries into a prize draw to win some Forty Hall goodies. The 3 age categories for entries are:

11 years and under, 12 - 18 years, and Over 18s.

Every week in October we will give you a new idea of what to draw, so why not give it a go and have fun!!

Entries must be drawn, not painted, and must have a Forty Hall theme.

Please send a photo of your drawing to forty.hall@enfield.gov.uk, along with your name and age category.

So it's over to you...get drawing!

Creative ideas: Week 1 - Historic buildings

What do you think Elsyng Palace would have looked like? None of #Elsyng Palace survives above ground, so let your imagination run wild and draw a picture of what you think Henry VIII's palace looked like when it was new.

Creative ideas: Week 2 - Nature & Wildlife

This week we want to see your drawings of some of the animals or plants that you have seen in the grounds of Forty Hall. Whether its the pigs from the farm or the flowers found in the Walled Garden, we want to see your drawings of them!!

Creative Ideas: Week 3 - People of Forty Hall

This week we want to see your drawings of some of the people who may have lived or worked at Forty Hall over the years. You might choose to draw a cook in the Kitchen or Sir Nicholas Rainton himself!

Creative ideas: Week 4 - Anything related to Forty Hall

This week we want your drawings of anything relating to Forty Hall. You might choose to draw some of the fascinating nature & wildlife found around the grounds, or maybe the beautiful Forty Hall building...the choice is endless!
