Spring comes in a shower of flowers! Once upon a time youths and maidens would gather spring flowers and decorate themselves to celebrate spring. Now we invite you to come and help us adorn Forty Hall & Estate! This fun, family event will include music from rising folk musician celebrity Jackie Oates, the ever-popular Bella Cora Choir and local favourites Central African Youth In Enfield plus a whole host of dance performances including folk and Morris dancing.

Deck the Hall with floral decorations and transform this magnificent building into a vision of Spring! Take part in creative workshops including ‘Eat me, plant me garlands’, ‘Green Man Mask Making’ ‘Plant Potting with Enfield in Bloom’ and ‘Flower Arranging’. Food and drink stalls at the event

This event launches the Forty Hall Knot Garden Project in the Courtyard! Don’t forget to drink in our exhibitions ‘Bud to Bloom’ and ‘The Beauty of Botany’ whilst you are here.

Cllr Bambos Charalambous, Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure said " This wonderful event is a must see, to welcome in the spring. It is a festival of music and dance and it also launches the 'Enfield in Bloom' Annual Garden Competition 2013 with The Mayor of Enfield!

"This free competition helps to combat climate change by emphasising the personal, social and environmental benefits of gardening.

"Forty Hall and its grounds are beautiful and inspirational all year round, but are especially lovely this time of year. I hope to see everyone there."
