Forty Hall & Estate are collaborating with local theatre companies Finger in the Pie andSkewbald to create Rainton's Pageant, celebrating the recent reopening of Forty Hall & Estate and also the forthcoming appearance in the Lord Mayor's Show in November. This exciting show will commence with an exquisite evening procession on Saturday 3rd November that will meander from Enfield Town Market Square to Forty Hall & Estate followed by walk-about and spontaneous live performances in and around the Hall and Estate. The performance is inspired by the original Pageant held for Sir Nicholas Rainton (the first owner of Forty Hall) when he became Lord Mayor of London in 1632. The performance will then be repeated as part of the present Lord Mayor's Show.

Performers

We're looking for approximately 20 local performers to volunteer to become the chorus for the Pageant. You will be given two full day workshops with Finger in the Pie and Skewbald performers who will work with you to create a chorus for the event and develop walk-about performances as part of the evening show. Ideally you'll have some experience of performance, either student, professional or amateur and be based in Enfield.

Artists

If you are not a performer but would like to volunteer to help create set and costumes for the pageant then please email your interest to hayley@skewbaldtheatre.com
