Forty Hall was presented with a wonderful Christmas present from local resident Jane Cottave this week! Jane came across what she came to call our Hairy Chair on-line and generously offered her expertise and time to restore it. Along the way she encountered generosity and support from others, including the Gainsborough Silk Weaving Co. Ltd. who so kindly donated the fabric for free. More details to follow but here, in time for Christmas, is a pictorial account of the chair's journey from the Geoffrey Museum via Forty Hall's store room to our Chamber in all its new-found glory!
